The critic towards the formalistic legal education denounces the reproduction of a knowledge that ignores social reality, something especially detrimental when it comes to the criminal sanction study, since its subject holds a close relation to the State’s employment of violence. As solution, it is suggested the concept of “reflexivity” (Pierre Bourdieu’s concept), specifically, with the introduction of a legal teaching method that work with a predisposition of institutional behavior questioning: Marc Galanter’s teaching. To that end, after introducing the author’s ideas, it is draw a brief scenario of critical inputs in a theoretical classroom context.
