Abstract

The growth in the number of projects and crowdfunding platforms leads to the need to develop strategies to achieve competitive advantage and achieve the value of the desired collections. Therefore, the objective of this theoretical essay is to identify the potential theories that can explain the competitive advantages between crowdfunding platforms and their projects. The research gap for this work appeared during the literature review, where no previous research was observed that studied theories of competitive advantage with the crowdfunding phenomenon. After analysis, the relationships of the phenomenon studied are close to the theoretical proposals presented in Industrial Organizations, when dealing with the strategic positioning of firms in highly competitive markets. And Dynamic Capabilities, as individual processes of projects and platforms demonstrate positive relationships with superior profits.
