Abstract

This report describes the business model and shares the knowledge acquired from the experience of creating and implementing a new business dedicated to offering solutions in Information Technology (IT) infrastructure with promotion and development of entrepreneurial and innovative behavior. In the original conception of the company, the scope was restricted to technical solutions applied to the management of IT infrastructure employing consulting services, until the identification of demands related to the development of entrepreneurial behavior in corporate environments and individuals. The scope was then expanded to take advantage of the perceived opportunity. The paper discusses aspects concerning an entrepreneurial project, on issues such as the importance of innovation, motivations and skills typical of the action undertaken, as well as risks, problems and limitations commonly faced in such situations. A business model was then designed based on conceptual visions and practical experience described in bibliographic sources. Presently, the business reaches its third year of operation, with payback already achieved and a customer portfolio that provides good profit margins, systematically reinvested in expansion for the sustainable development of the company. The project may be considered as an example of a typical situation experienced in entrepreneurial initiatives. For this reason, we decided to share the knowledge gained with experience through this report.
