Interferência Trabalho-Família e Facilitação Trabalho-Família: Estudo da Invariância da Medida entre Sexos

Resumo
A temática da interação trabalho-família tem sido de grande interesse à investigação, tanto pela interferência negativa como pela facilitação. Têm-se investigado antecedentes e consequentes, verificando-se a existência de diferenças de género. O presente estudo pretende aprofundar estas diferenças na conciliação trabalho-família, analisando a invariância da Escala Trabalho-Família (T-F; Carvalho & Peralta, 2009) quanto ao género. Analisaram-se o poder discriminativo e as diferenças entre géneros numa amostra de 610 docentes do Ensino Superior português. A estrutura do modelo teórico proposto mostrou-se bem ajustada na amostra de multigrupos. Os fatores Impacto da Tensão Trabalho-Família/Vida Pessoal no Trabalho e Impacto da Tensão Trabalho-Família/Vida Pessoal na Vida Pessoal foram invariantes entre docentes, independentemente do sexo. Os restantes fatores variaram entre os géneros. A escala T-F revelou-se um instrumento de medida discriminativo que consegue demonstrar a existência de variância entre populações distintas ao nível dos fatores de primeira ordem, definidos no modelo teórico.
