Adequacy of organizational structure and processes in a post-purchased telecommunication company

After the opening of the telecommunications market and privatization of the Telebrás System in July 2018, several mergers and acquisitions of companies participating in this market took place to develop new products and services and gain a more significant market share. This paper presents a case study of solving the problem of inadequacy of organizational structure after the integration of a company acquired by a telecommunications company in the Brazilian market. After the diagnosis performed in the company, the proposal contemplated a new structure of the operations team and respective organizational processes. After the intervention was carried out in the company, the solution generated a significant improvement in deliverables and the efficiency of operations due to the actions carried out in the acquired company. This study contributes to understanding the possible negative consequences that companies may suffer from mergers and acquisitions by other companies, in addition to presenting a journey of improvements to regularize and resume the efficiency of their business activities.
