Evasion in Private HEIs: Essay on the importance of the relationship between the university and the student body

This essay deals with evasion in Brazilian private universities, examining the nature of the problem from a multidimensional perspective, which transcends financial issues, and addressing relevant topics such as the role of students in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), the perception of service quality and degree of satisfaction, as well as the interaction between several factors that can lead the student to decide to drop out. In the end, ecommendations are made to improve retention rates through a better understanding of the profile and aspirations of the students to enable the development of a relationship where the student can become an important agent of institutional changes.
