This article focus on a case study of a resettlement process occurred in Campos dos Goytacazes, a city in the North of Rio de Janeiro state. It presents the challenges that its inhabitants have to face to solve their housing issue in a peripherica place, near a dumpsite and without any urban infrastructural equipments. This process is examined by the theoretical framework of urbanism, taking into account the perspective of Human Rights, particularly the right of housing and, more generally, the right to the city.Downloads
