Abstract

This research has an exploratory characteristic and was realized by a multi-disciplinal group of professionals and students of architecture, urbanism and psychology. The aim of the research is the evaluation of the environmental quality, according to psychological and social criteria, involving the users of the Shopping Light. This shopping center occupies an historical building in the town center of São Paulo. The research is based on theories of perception, memory of space and gestalt view of the city. The method of investigation involves questionnaires, interviews and qualitative analysis data.
