Abstract

The project is a study and practice on self-constructed housing for rural women. It is a final graduation project whose demands and clients are real, demanding responsibility for its viability. Rural women are part of the sustainability of our system, but they are little heard voices. The design of the house was done after an immersion in the Kikajjo community in Uganda, East Africa, and involved the direct participation of Jajja - community leader and user. The construction of the house involves training workshops on building for women, an emancipatory practice that questions gender roles and strengthens women's autonomy.
