INTERAÇÕES ENTRE DESIGN THINKING E ARQUITETURA: A APLICAÇÃO DA ABORDAGEM COMO INSTRUMENTO PEDAGÓGICO NO ENSINO DE PROJETO ARQUITETÔNICO
Keywords:
Design Thinking, design, teaching, creative processAbstract
This article evaluates the applicability and impact of the introduction of Design Thinking as a complement to the consolidated pedagogical practice in the architectural design signatures, based on the results from a research project conducted by the author. The approach proposed by Design Thinking has features like collaborative creation, standard reviews and focus on the user, in order to generate innovative solutions and questioning when compared to the usually observed. The natural convergence of many features of the methodology and architectural design process indicates the relative easy application and acceptance of the method by the students. The greatest interest observed and confirmed through the application of design thinking lies in the identification of procedural, flexible and interactive dynamics, based on generating principles governing the act of designing. It concludes that Design Thinking can be constituted as an effective tool for teaching assistance, it contributes to the development of critical and autonomous thinking about architecture and their essential purposes by the students, specially about the needs of the human being.
