For a long time and even today, the hospital is perceived in a negative way, as a place of death, pain, suffering, among other feelings. The Brazilian architect João Filgueiras Lima, known as Lele, who now stands out in the field of hospital architecture, presents a fresh look at health institutions. The architect proposes measures projective spaces that make hospitals less cold and hostile in order to improve the welfare of the patient and speed up the healing process. The research, in turn, discusses the journey of Lele in the consolidation of the Rede Sarah Kubitschek of Hospitals, the object of the present study, based on the concept of the humanization of the hospital building. Describes the transformation of the hospital buildings over time and the issues that were faced by Lele to produce a higher quality of hospital architecture.Downloads
