Foreword

Abstract

Letter to the readers, authors and reviewers, As a result of the peer review process that was adopted for the first edition of Cadernos de Pós-Graduação em Arquitetura e Urbanismo in 2008, it is our pleasure to announce the publication of its first 2008 edition. We have totaled eleven submissions, from which eight were recommended for publication, while the remaining three were invited for resubmission to our next edition. Submissions were made from Brazil, with a broad geographic distribution, from the US – California and Florida -, and from Chile. The broad coverage spectrum we were searching has now begun to take shape and, as long as we grant the editorial process with seriousness and agility, we can believe that this is an ascending path both for the Journal and its publisher, the Graduate Program in Architecture and Urban Planning School at Mackenzie Presbyterian University. This was our first editorial experience after the adoption of Open Journal Systems, as recommended by major agencies worldwide. We hope you enjoy the reading. Gilda Collet Bruna.
