Abstract

This work analyzes the diversity of architectural movements in the city of Belém, Brazil, between 1930 and 1964, such as late eclectic or Beaux-Arts, neocolonial, Art Déco, classic rationalism, international modernism and the local version of what would be called Brazilian Modern Architecture - how they were absorbed and translated in local architectural production, outlining artistic sources, professionals and designs that disseminated architectural modernity in the city.
