Architecture as an expression of modernity in Belém between 1930 and 1964

This work analyzes the diversity of architectural movements in the city of Belém, Brazil, between 1930 and 1964, such as late eclectic or Beaux-Arts, neocolonial, Art Déco, classic rationalism, international modernism and the local version of what would be called Brazilian Modern Architecture - how they were absorbed and translated in local architectural production, outlining artistic sources, professionals and designs that disseminated architectural modernity in the city.Downloads
