Abstract

The Avenida Vera Cruz, one of the Jardim Guanabara structural routes, located in Goiania’s  North Region, currently works reorganizing the flow of vehicles moving to Nerópolis, Anapolis and Brasília its characterized by a multiplicity of realities and services offered to the community. Due to the value of understanding the urban evolution process of the region in question, and specially of Vera Cruz Avenue, the article aims to analyze the changing uses that the street have suffered due its connection to the main highways, its impact in urban areas and in the public spaces appropriation by users, as well as the cultural practices presents in the site and its relation to the space construction and urban landscape.
