This text analyzes the socio-spatial formation of Amazonian hybrid urban, and presents cases of informal occupation, with a traditional matrix, located in the Metropolitan area of Belém (PA), with the purpose of broadening the understanding on the role of traditional communities inserted in urban and periurban contexts, which occurs throughout the country, but are more visible in the Amazon. Cases studies show that the attributes of these communities can strengthen a global agenda of constructing more inclusive and plural public policies, following the proposals of Agenda 2030 (ONU, 2015).
