Booktubers and the legacy of journalistic criticism:
cultural mediation and critical impressionism
Keywords:
Literary criticism, Impressionist criticism, Digital influencers, Cultural mediation, BooktubersAbstract
This article aims to establish a comparative reading between a critical text written at the height of impressionist literary criticism, on the one hand, and a video produced by a digital influencer on YouTube, on the other. From the comparative analysis of the two texts, we seek to understand how the content produced about literature on social networks can potentially be read as an heir to a certain Brazilian critical tradition.
