Avaliação de Apraxias em Pacientes com Lesão Cerebrovascular em Hemisfério Esquerdo

Resumo

Estudos evidenciam a dominância do hemisfério cerebral esquerdo (HE) no planejamento motor. Contudo, são necessárias investigações sobre a participação das regiões corticais e subcorticais do HE nas praxias. Este estudo de casos múltiplos analisou o desempenho de cinco pacientes com lesão cerebrovascular isquêmica no HE em três tipos de praxias. Os participantes, com idades entre 43 e 73 anos, foram distribuídos em dois grupos quanto ao local da lesão, cortical ou subcortical. Utilizaram-se tarefas do Instrumento de Avaliação Neuropsicológica Breve NEUPSILIN. Comparou-se a pontuação de cada caso à média de desempenho de seu grupo normativo.  Somente os pacientes com lesão cortical apresentaram déficit de apraxia ideomotora. Nas Praxias Construtivas os tipos de erros diferenciaram os dois grupos. O método qualitativo contribuiu para compreender os mecanismos envolvidos nas apraxias e para o planejamento de programas de reabilitação neuropsicológica.
