O Impacto dos Transtornos de Ansiedade na Qualidade de Vida de Pessoas com TEA: Uma Revisão Narrativa

Resumo

Os transtornos de ansiedade caracterizam-se por medo e ansiedade exces[1]sivos, e perturbações comportamentais relacionadas. Eles diferem entre si com base nos objetos ou situações que induzem a ansiedade. Os transtornos de ansiedade representam a comorbidade mais comum, com taxa de pre[1]valência para adultos com TEA de 27% e 42% para qualquer transtorno de ansiedade. O Transtorno do Espectro Autista (TEA) é uma condição carac[1]terizada como um transtorno do neurodesenvolvimento que abrange pre[1]juízos persistentes na comunicação e interação social, podendo apresentar também alterações no processamento sensorial. Essas e outras característi[1]cas limitam ou prejudicam o funcionamento diário, e quando há a comor[1]bidade ansiedade no TEA, aumentam significativamente as dificuldades nas respostas adaptativas, diminui a qualidade de vida e acentuam-se problemas como inquietação, passividade, isolamento social, agressividade, irritabili[1]dade ou autoagressão. Portanto, este estudo objetiva revisar o impacto na qualidade de vida de indivíduos que possuem diagnóstico de transtorno do espectro autista e transtornos de ansiedade concomitantemente. A metodo[1]logia utilizada foi uma revisão narrativa da literatura, realizada por meio de buscas na base de dados eletrônica PubMed. Os resultados destacam a importância e a necessidade de realizar mais pesquisas, especificamente com jovens adultos diagnosticados com TEA, que possam contribuir para o desenvolvimento de intervenções no sentido de prevenir o agravamento dos sintomas, bem como diminuir os prejuízos no dia a dia dessas pessoas e, em consequência, melhorar a qualidade de vida.
