This article aims to present the interrelation between the development of the social housing proposal as the Final Graduation Project and the relations with urban vivacity and reciprocity. The path taken is based on the tripod: inhabit, occupy, produce, taken as fundamental dimensions in the conquering of the right to the city and in fighting socioespacial inequalities highlighted by housing precariousness. The research tells the day-to-day of an occupied building in the São Paulo’s central region and the women's fight for basic rights, among them dignified housing. The narrative of experiences of university extension reinforces the importance of integrating university and society, focused on the knowledge exchange. By looking at the integration between University Extension and ATHIS , the articles concludes the importance of capacitating alumna, professors and territorial agents as actors of the transformations aimed at reducing socioespacial inequalities, strengthening the popular processes in the construction of public policies.
