Keywords:
Socio-environmental Design, Partnership, MethodologyAbstract
This research focuses the international cooperation project among Brazilian and Italian design students who performed a new experimental practice in the production of socio-environmental design. This groundbreaking proposal was called Design Possível in Portuguese and Design Possibile in Italian. It is an innovative proposal because it creates designs by mixing students from 2 different nationalities and the poorest communities of São Paulo city. Differentiated household objects were elaborated from solid waste by using the production process within a local and global perspective. In 2006 and 2007 the objects were nominated for and won prizes in the Planeta Casa Competition and exhibited at the Fuori Salone Milano.Downloads
