Urban Resilience: Practical Studies on Street Persistence
Keywords:
Resilience, Persistence, StreetAbstract
Regarding its formal attributes and its durability in time, the street is the most persistent element for authors in the area of morphology and urban history (LAVEDAN, 1926; CONZEN, 1960). This article aims to present a collection of some practical studies on street persistence, in different scales, whose curation was done throughout the Ph.D. research. Based on the above objective, this text was organized into two parts. In the first one, the characteristics of the phenomenon of the persistence of urban forms with practical examples of studies carried out in the European continent are individualized. In the second part, presents the second set of practical studies that considered the study of the American territory. From the sampling presented concludes on main characteristics and motivations that can justify the "phenomenon of persistence".Downloads
