Abstract

From research conducted in documents that address the profession of architecture and its education were identified four important issues for the twenty-first century: social awareness, intercultural, the revised design from digital thinking process, and ecology related to urban ecosystem and biotechnology in the production design. The introduction brings a justification with state of the art of architecture in this century and explains the selection of these issues as relevant. In this article, we will focus on the first theme: the social conscience, different from the inherent responsibility of the profession itself as emergency training and practice of the profession. Will be referenced concepts and examples to this approach in order to foster debate and reflection.
