Lições de agramática do Padre Ezequiel:
um olhar discursivo sobre o fazer poético em Manoel de Barros
Keywords:
Manoel de Barros, poetry, text, teaching, semioticsAbstract
This article focuses on the poetic text, arguably the least considered text in school activities. Guided by the theoretical-methodological assumptions of Greimasian discursive semiotics, the purpose of the study is to contribute to the analysis and interpretation of poetic texts, particularly considering the specificities of their way of constructing meanings. As Teixeira states in the epigraph, literature and, in particular, poetry is the mode of being of the word. In poetry, the poet infinitely explores the potentialities of linguistic expression, revealing not only a dissatisfaction with the limits of language but also with those of the world it usually expresses. Through the recreation of language, the poet creates new universes with different meanings, perceptions, and sensations—unexpected and surprising—that fracture the existing order, questioning the values that prevail in it, pointing readers to new horizons of life, inviting them to new discoveries, and ultimately, elevating them to experiences that only art can provide. This text will have achieved its purposes if, in some measure, it helps students and teachers better understand how poetic texts construct their meanings and, especially, if it encourages them toward the aesthetic enjoyment inherent in any artistic object.
