Abstract

The objective of this work is to discuss the talk-in-interaction organization in a classroom of Portuguese as non-mother language, focusing on the structure of revoicing. Descriptions of its characteristics are presented, comparing with the IRE sequence, and excerpts are analyzed in a Portuguese classroom recorded on video at a university in Macau, with the participation of a Brazilian professor and Chinese students. Through ethnographic microanalysis, it is shown how the participants position themselves, constructing knowledge and creating the local context and environment.
