Abstract

This article aims to study the Letter to the Hebrews through the ethnomethodological lens of indexicality, based on the metalinguistic context of social interactions underlying the intertextual dimension. The Letter is qualitatively appreciated under empirical bibliographic corpora research, especially in its prologue discourse, according to which the preceding Jewish events are in a continuous dialogic space with the Christian discourse. Thus, Christian reflections are amplified when indicial aspects in the text indicate conditions of world adjustments to the words.
