"Leito de folhas verdes" e "Café da manhã"
The rhetoric of waiting
Abstract
This paper of bibliographical design aims to emphasize the importance of rhetoric for the construction of the meanings of “Leito de folhas verdes” (1851), poem by the romantic Gonçalves Dias, and “Café da manhã” (1978), a song by Roberto Carlos and Erasmo Carlos. Among the senses produced and to be evaluated, it will stand out the one of the amorous waiting, that is experienced of different way in each case, and also the one of the romantic vision of the reality. The texts mentioned will be analyzed by rhetorical theory, for which persuasion constitutes the most relevant element.
