Brief Psychodynamic Psychotherapy: From Forerunners to Present Models

Abstract
The article presents a brief psychodynamic psychotherapy overview from its origins to nowadays. After the historical location of its emergence, it refers to the most used technical and theoretical models in the last decades and some of its high exponents. Some contributions to the use of time-limited psychotherapy with children are also included.
