Abstract

Although the revision and updating process on psychology graduation has endured some decades in Brazil, it seems to be nearing its end. Therefore, several happenings searching for a curricular renewal have occured since 1970. They have emerged after a critical period psychology surpassed during the repression installed by the military coup in 1964. Nevertheless, these happenings have contributed to nothing other than simply providing the addition of disciplines to the curricular structure then in force. The 80s may be considered as the quietest and most passive decade for professional graduation. On the other hand, during the 90s it has been observed a more consistent survey leading to a complete curricular restructure on the psychology field. The fact is probably due to the assembly of both Federal and Regional Psychology Counselling and also to the approach among professionals and students of the area. The survey gave risen to the document: "Curricular addressing to the Graduation Courses on Psychology", and it was evolved by na expert commission appointed by MEC (The Department of Education, Health and Welfare). Such a document is under ultimate discussion throughout the community, which embraces psychology as its common link.
