Abstract

There are several testimonies related to the violence of South American dictatorships. In a tension between the real and the fictional, The Resistance, by Julián Fuks reveals marks of authoritarianism in socio-political relations. Thus, we will demonstrate that the concepts of metafiction and autofiction are structuring elements of this novel, because they are used to reactivate the memory of the dictatorial period in Argentina and Brazil.
