a didactic sequence based on the short story “Nós choramos pelo cão-tinhoso”

Considering how important it is to develop text comprehension and interpretation skills in Portuguese language classes, this paper suggests a sequence of classes to work with the short story “Nós choramos pelo cão-tinhoso” for the 7th grade of middle school, in which we can discuss African culture in elementary education.
