Abstract

This article aims to reflect on how the teaching of the Portuguese is promoted among (i) migrants and refugees in at least two different educational contexts within the city of São Paulo: of a regular education in a public school and at a social work held at the Peace Mission, an institution of the Catholic Church that welcomes and supports (i)migrants who are or not in a refuge situation. We will try to demonstrate the importance of the role of Social Education and the teaching of Portuguese as reception language in this teaching-learning process of the subjects involved and how it can contribute to a more humanizing learning.

Luciana Aparecida da Silva, Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie

Graduada em Letras, com especializações nas áreas de Língua Portuguesa, Língua Inglesa e Ensino de Língua Portuguesa e Literatura. Atualmente, cursando Mestrado em Letras.

Trabalho com o ensino de Língua Portuguesa e Inglesa na Educação de Jovens e Adultos há 9 anos.
