“Brazil happy again”
discursive analysis of PT electoral campaign in the 2018 elections for president
Keywords:
Discourse Analysis, Political discourse, ArgumentationAbstract
Based on the principles of French Discourse Analysis, this article aims to present a reflection on the PT’s electoral campaign in the 2018 elections for president in Brazil. Using Louis Althusser’s ideas of ideological formation, Michel Foucault’s discursive formation, and argumentation in discourse and discursive ethos, in the work of Ruth Amossy, our main object is to approach the adaptation of discourse and argumentative strategies of the PT campaign in the two different moments of the elections: first and second rounds.
