Problemas emocionales/conductuales en una muestra de niños brasileños durante la pandemia de la Covid-19

Resumen

Con la realidad creada por la pandemia de la coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), los estudios apuntan a los niños como más vulnerables a tener problemas de comportamiento y emocionales (como falta de atención, hiperactividad, depresión y ansiedad). Buscamos describir la frecuencia de problemas emocionales/conductuales en niños brasileños que se encontraban en aislamiento social al inicio de la pandemia y verificar posibles diferencias en las puntuaciones de problemas y en las posibilidades de puntuaciones clínicas según las variables género y la edad. La muestra estuvo compuesta por 277 tutores de niños de siete a 11 años. Los instrumentos utilizados fueron el Child Behavior Checklist y Ficha de Datos Sociodemográficos. Las escalas en las que se identificaron problemas con mayor frecuencia fueron: problemas totales, ansiedad/depresión y problemas de pensamiento. Los niños tuvieron más posibilidades de presentar problemas de ansiedad/depresión, problemas de sociabilidad, con el pensamiento, afectivos y ansiedad y pontuaciones más altas en la escala de interiorización. Los niños mayores son más propensos a tener problemas somáticos y menos propensos a infringir las reglas. Tales resultados demuestran posibles consecuencias conductuales/emocionales en niños brasileños en aislamiento social, especialmente en los chicos.
