Abstract

The aim of this essay is to bring to the dialogue contemporary challenges in morphological studies organized around (at least) two main issues: first, regarding aspects involving the theoretical-methodological debate and, subsequently, some observations about the teaching and learning process. These challenges are reflective in nature and are accompanied more by questions than answers. However, it is precisely the existence of these questions that motivates the development of research in the theoretical field of urban morphology from the perspective of the contributions of architecture and urbanism.
