Transtornos Psiquiátricos em Pacientes Vítimas de Queimaduras

Resumo
O presente trabalho investigou a prevalência de transtornos mentais em 24 adultos vítimas de queimaduras graves, que responderam a uma entrevista clínica diagnóstica estruturada. As entrevistas foram realizadas no ambulatório de queimados de um hospital de pronto socorro. Os resultados demonstraram que a maioria dos pacientes (58,3%) apresentava algum transtorno mental. Quanto à prevalência ao longo da vida, os transtornos de humor são os mais frequentes (n = 7), seguido dos transtornos por uso de substâncias (n = 3). Quanto à prevalência atual, os transtornos de ansiedade são os mais frequentes (n = 12), seguidos de transtornos por uso de substâncias (n = 8) e transtornos de humor (n = 4). Verificou?se correlação significativa entre transtornos de humor e transtornos de ansiedade (p = 0,029). Os resultados indicam a presença de sofrimento mental entre indivíduos vítimas de queimaduras graves, sugerindo a necessidade de intervenções específicas.
