Non-Binarity as Representation and Identity in Contemporary Literature

This article explores narrative strategies for constructing non-binary characters in contemporary literature, analyzing authors’ approaches and the challenges they face when including characters that expand gender diversity. The research also examines the social impact of such representation and how it can influence readers’ identity and empathy, especially among younger audiences, fostering new possibilities for inclusion and understanding of non-normative identities.
