The purpose of this article is to establish a parallel between the understanding of Daniel Defoe's work in The Adventures of Robinson Crusoe and the existence of the six cities of refuge mentioned in the Holy Bible. Based on the situation of exile experienced on the island of despair, the encounter with the indigenous person saved from death baptized by Friday, the mutual learning, the figure of the rescuer and the new opportunity for life after 28 years of separation from the previous life.
