Abstract

Trying to reach a consensus in a negotiation process can be a very complex problem involving multiple agents, conflicting points of view and criteria, pressure groups, etc. In this context imprecision and risk are quite often present. Tools for imprecision analysis and group decision aiding can be thus utilized in order to facilitate achieving a compromise. This article shows how fuzzy and rough sets, multiattribute utility theory, and prospect theory can be used in the analytical modeling embedded in negotiation support systems.
