About the Journal

REM (Mackenzie Journal of Economics - ISSN 1678-5002 Printed and 1808-2785 online) is an open access scientific publication of economics linked to the Social and Applied Sciences Center and to the Postgraduate Program in Economics and Markets and to the undergraduate course in Economic Sciences at Mackenzie Presbyterian University.

REM has a semiannual periodicity and publishes papers about economic theory, economics of the Third Sector, economics of social inclusion, applied economics, macroeconomics, environmental economics, economic policy, financial economics, development economics, economic history, history of economic thought, economic methodology, microeconomics and related areas, whose subjects are relevant to the field of economics.

REM is currently classified by CAPES (2017/2020) as a review in the stratum B2 and is indexed in the following data base: Economia y Negocios, Business Source Complete – EBSCO, ICAP - Indexing Shared Journal Articles, Bibliographie der Rezensionen – Wissenschaftlicher – IBZ (International Bibliography of Periodical Literature in the Humanities and Social Sciences), International Bibliography of the Social Sciences – IBSS (The London School of Economics and Political Sciences), Fuente Académica of EBSCO, Ulrich’s International Periodicals Directory, and Google Scholar.

REM was created in 2003, linked to the undergraduate course in Economic Sciences, and since 2016 it is also related to the Postgraduate Program in Economics and Markets.

REM papers are published collectively in issues that are identified by volume and issue. The issue of each volume corresponds to the sequential number of the calendar year, counted from the year that the review was founded (2003).

Currently REM has a semiannual periodicity, and the volume of articles in each issue may vary from 6 (six) to 8 (eight).

The abbreviated title is Rev. Econ. Mackenzie, which must to be used in bibliographies, footnotes, references and bibliographic strips.

Since 2020, REM adopted the Creative Commons Atribuition-NonCommercial 4.0 Internacional.
