Resumo

Este estudo aborda os determinantes do bem-estar financeiro no Brasil a partir da estimação dos efeitos associados às características individuais, socioeconômicas e escolhas de investimento. A pesquisa foi baseada nos dados da sondagem CVM-SPC realizada em 2019 que envolveu as principais regiões metropolitanas do país. A partir da identificação de produtos financeiros consumidos, foram encontrados sinais da relevância da educação financeira sobre o bem-estar financeiro dos brasileiros. Os resultados corroboram a hipótese de que o nível de renda é um dos principais determinantes do bem-estar financeiro e indicam evidências claras de diferenças entre os gêneros. Os fatores vinculados à região e escolaridade mostraram resultados diferentes do esperado, revelando indícios de que aspectos econômico-regionais são relevantes na determinação do nível de bem-estar financeiro dos brasileiros.
