George Tasie, University of Port Harcourt

Dr. George I. K.Tasie is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Religious and Cultural Studies, University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria, where he specializes in the areas of Indigenous Religions of Africa and Contemporary Ecclesiastical History. He was the immediate past Chair of the Department of Religious and Cultural Studies, University of Port Harcourt and one of the editors of the journal of Religion and Culture, a journal of the Department of Religious and Cultural Studies, University of Port Harcourt.  He has published widely, both locally and internationally in academic journals. Tasie is also the editor of several books including Aspects of Niger Delta Indigenous Religion (2007), a collection of essays in honour of Prof. Robin Horton and his most recent book, West African Religious Heritage (2013).
