The present technical report describes the practical intervention performed by the participant researcher, who is one of the authors of this work, in an enterprise resource planning (ERP) implementation project ongoing in a Brazilian service company. The project was nearly paralyzed and dysfunctional for more than twelve months, and the company was running two systems simultaneously due to the delay in the implementation, which was causing many other problems of financial and operational nature. The intervention utilized practical techniques based on the system dynamics model of resistance to change and causal loops proposed by Schweiger, Stouten and Bleijenbergh (2018) combined with the framework of the acclaimed theory of constraints (TOC) and the critical chain method, developed by Goldratt (1998), unlocking the project and obtaining success after four months of execution. The present work has practical relevance and may serve as a resource for professionals and researchers in this field of knowledge.Downloads
