Text and images present the Augusta Park design and construction, São Paulo city central area, elaborated as a convergence of multiple historical strata. Restoration central concepts are present in the former projects of the Des Oiseaux School remaining buildings and, also, in the park global conception, as the established relationship between a historic garden, revealed as a place of the sacred, and the new environments that are connected to it. The development stages reflect the confrontation environment between the dynamics of private enterprises, the public management of open spaces, and the pressures of social movements for green areas preservation, operating as convergence a center and a conciliation factor between the forces that produce the city.
